Before I write this I will preface it by saying that Yes I know we should rely on God but I also know that God helps those who help themselves not those that lay around waiting for him to pull them out of the hole so please do not leave nasty comments about how I should not worry and have more faith.
I was a little concerned about hubby not getting his full paycheck. He missed a full day with his shoulder and has been on light duty so he was not working as many hours as usual. With my side job we would break even for bills but would have nothing left over and we soon would need some more milk and veggies. We had figured it out and we were going to be able to wait a little on some things to be able to get what we needed. The thing is that I have a problem with not having a cushion or with paying bills a little late. It freaks me out tremendously. Today hubby went to pick up his check at work and they paid him his usual full check!!! I can not tell you how much I thanked God right at that moment.
Speaking of Hubby, he went back to the doctor but is not fully healed. He will have to continue on light duty, which he hates, for another full week. However his boss has been so awesome about it and even told him not to worry about it at all.

How would you handle this situation?
So yesterday I caught Monkey cheating in Math. He had some Math seat work to do but the girls were going crazy so he could not concentrate. I took the girls into my room and turned on a cartoon on the computer to occupy them before I had to start lunch. When I walked by his room I noticed that the light was on but he was not at his desk where I left him. I figured though that he was sitting at the kitchen table because sometimes he likes to look out the window while doing his work. I came around the corner into the kitchen and he jumped about ten feet in the air because he had pulled out my teacher's manual and was copying answers. I was livid as this is the second time this has happened. Hubby said he was going to deal with his punishment today while he was watching him but I think maybe we need some kind of lasting consequence since this is not the first time. How would you handle this and please tell me I am not alone and other parents have had this happen? I am starting to wonder if this is just a result of bad parenting or something as I personally would have died before I ever did something like that in school.
Monkey had his first Karate class yesterday and he did excellent. I was very proud of him. He has a habit of giving up on things when they get tough but he kept at it even though they worked him hard and he is sore today. He is already asking about tonight's class. While he was in class the girls and I sat with the other parents to watch him. The whole time the girls kept saying, "Wow look at bubbie (that is what they call him)" "Cool" "Bubbie is AWESOME!" The ladies on the side of us were getting a big kick out of it. After he was done Monkette ran up to him, threw her arms around him (which of course mortified him in front of his new friends) and said "You were awesome!"
I think we may have a little entrepreneur on our hands. Yesterday Monkette and Munchkin were sharing a bag of pretzel crisps. Monkette wanted more than what she had but Munchkin was holding the bag. She asked her for more to which Munchkin folded her arms, got a stern look on her face and said, "No you pay $40 for one!" I almost fell over laughing especially considering the whole bag was only $2 at the health food store.
Monkette is doing really well but she has picked up an odd new habit. She will just start panting for no reason at all. We could be walking through the store and she will suddenly start making panting sounds. You should see the odd looks I get from people when my daughter starts acting like she recently watched a dirty movie. I have asked her why she does it but she looks at me like "huh? I am doing that."

Karate Mom? (Lessons, lessons, lessons)
We signed Monkey up for Karate lessons today! He is so excited and will take his first class on Wednesday. I will be sure to take a picture of him in his uniform for all of you. He has the ability to go 5 days a week but I think we will do four skipping Wed every other week since it ends right before church. I am really excited about this as I have heard great thigns about the school. They even offer a SWAT (Superior Winning Attitude Team) program to encourage kids to do well and be respectful at both home and school while still striving to do their very best in their karate lessons.
Monkette will be taking ballet classes in the fall also so I will be all over the place.
My mom and I are signing up for French Cooking Classes in the next couple of weeks too.
BUSY BUSY BUSY
In other news someone hubby and I have been praying for the last 3 years was saved two weeks ago and has been attending church faithfully ever since. How awesome is that!
Hubby goes back to the doctor tomorrow to see about going back to his regular work. Keep him in your prayers.
I did some of my yogalaties moves with the girls and they loved it. As soon as we were done they climbed right in bed with no complaining.
Sorry this post is so disjointed. I am half asleep right now.

Phew The Day Is Finally Over!
All I can say is it was a bad, bad, bad, bad, bad day. The only good part was when I got to go to a yogalaties class at the gym that was really enjoyable. I am thinking that I may incorporate some of the moves into the kids bedtime routine.

AWWWWW
The kids looked so cute today for church that I had to take a picture of them. So now I am going to brag a little on them and show you the pictures. The girls insisted that I take pictures of their hair also since we had just finished looking at a website of little girls hairstyles. The first picture of Monkette's hair is from this morning and the second picture is from tonight since I had to redo it after she took all the braids out.

Must.........Go.............To.............Sleep
UGH! I have been in a pretty foul mood the past two days because I can not sleep. I have no idea why since I was exhausted all day today but for some reason I just can not fall asleep. Pretty soon I will be walking around with tooth picks holding my eyes open.
